JVPC Project - Rang Dong FSO
Hallin Marine was awarded a contract for provision of marine and subsea services by Modec Inc. The Japan Vietnam Petroleum Co Ltd (JVPC) is currently operating in the Rang Dong Oil Field, Block 15-2, approximately 140km offshore of Vung Tau, Southern Vietnam, known locally as Rang Dong.
The scope of works included the installation of the floating storage and offloading facility (FSO) on a 3x3 anchor leg mooring system, followed by the installation and connection of two 6” flexible risers for transfer in a Steep-Wave configuration tied to PLEM. The project also included the installation and connection of subsea spool pieces and the carrying out of the tie-in of the infield flowline in 60m water depths.
Hallin engineered and managed the installation and thereafter commissioned the 2 x 6” risers at Rang Dong. Hallin mobilised the Subsea Operations Vessel (SOV) Sanko Angel, fully equipped with saturation diving and Hallin ROV equipment and supported by Hallin’s experienced offshore construction crew to complete the project successfully.
