Since the inception of Hallin Marine the Directors have been intent upon conducting Company business in a manner which is ethically and morally in step with the best practice accepted within the industry. Today’s proactive measures are designed to identify and remove risk to people, equipment and the environment and to foster an open minded culture which values Safety and Health for its own sake. The following 12 key points form the basis of the HMS Safety Management System and form the foundation upon which the HSE structure is based.

Management Commitment to Health, Safety and the Environment

  • A Sound Hallin Marine HSE Policy
  • Line Management to be responsible for HSE Matters
  • Employment of Competent HSE Advisers
  • Setting and Maintaining High Hallin Marine Systems HSE Standards
  • Setting Realistic HSE Targets and Objectives for Personnel
  • Effective HSE Training for Personnel
  • Thorough Investigation and Follow Up of Injuries, Accidents and Near Miss Incidents
  • Effective Motivation and Communication with the Work Force
  • Auditing of HSE Standards and Practices

The obligation and responsibility of a “Duty of Care” on the part of the Company, our employees, subcontractors and the public is integrated within these principals. At every juncture it is acknowledged and pronounced that the best way to achieve our objectives must not conflict with the safest way.
